Biography
Before joining IFTM, Azita had worked for CDC and CCC as an English teacher since 2002 and taught numerous long courses and short programs. She had also taught some short-term programs at MMC and MUST.
Azita joined UTM in 2009 and is currently an instructor in Institute of Executive and Professional Development (IEPD). She has been involved in teaching including both pre-service and in-service programs, General and English for Specific Purposes, customer-centric and tailored to meet the students’ immediate need with the goal of supporting their work.
Over the years, she is interested and experienced in curriculum development, writing materials, and has developed a wide range of courses for students from different occupations, industries, and proficiency levels. In addition to teaching English, she has also prepared students for international qualifications, such as TOEFL iBT+ and IELTS in 2023.
She loves getting to know her students and enjoys making learning fun for them. She wants her lessons to be a relaxed safe space for her students to speak, make mistakes, and learn at their pace and in their style. She absolutely loves teaching and is passionate about inspiring her students to become intrinsically-motivated lifelong learners.
Her goal is to make students feel comfortable and confident speaking English. Everyone has a communication style and she enjoys helping students finding their own way to communicate clearly and effectively.
