IFTM links with top Swiss hospitality schools to offer dual bachelor’s degree programme

中文摘要 / Summary in Chinese

IFTM has formed a partnership with the Swiss Education Group, one of the world’s top tourism and hospitality education providers, to offer a dual bachelor’s degree programme. It will enable IFTM students to study for a year in Switzerland and get a bachelor’s degree from either of 2 schools within the Swiss Education Group, in addition to a bachelor’s degree from IFTM.

The link-up “allows 2 internationally-respected” higher education providers to create a “unique” opportunity to enrich student learning, says IFTM.

The “3+1” scheme is available to those bachelor’s degree students enrolled either in the Institute’s Hotel Management programme or the Tourism Event Management programme. IFTM participants in the dual bachelor’s degree programme can select – usually from Year 2 onwards – the year of study they wish to undertake in Switzerland.

Students can attend either the Swiss Hotel Management School, ranked fourth in the world for hospitality and leisure management studies by the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject; or the César Ritz Colleges Switzerland, seventh in the same ranking.

Another aspect of the partnership is that IFTM students on either the Hotel Management programme or the Tourism Event Management programme can also be issued with a Swiss Diploma by one of the Swiss Education Group’s schools. The diploma option does not require students to go to Switzerland: it is based on the Swiss side recognising the standards of educational excellence in place at IFTM.

IFTM has more than 150 partners across more than 30 countries and regions, drawn from either the educational sector or other fields. The Institute also has partnerships with a range of leading companies in the tourism and hospitality industry at home and abroad, to provide IFTM students with internships and other learning opportunities.
