The offering is a collaboration between UTM and two top-ranked higher education institutions from Switzerland: the Glion Institute of Higher Education and Les Roches Global Hospitality Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both hospitality management schools are part of the Sommet Education group. The institutions were respectively ranked within the top-five in the world for hospitality and leisure management studies, according to the 2023 edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leading the March briefing session was hospitality consultant Mr. Kavi Khemlani, acting in his role as Alumni Ambassador for Les Roches. Also participating was Ms. Veronica Yin, regional admissions manager for Macao and Hong Kong for the Sommet Education group. They gave the students present at the event insight into the 3+1 Dual Bachelor\u2019s Degree Programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme means UTM undergraduates studying for a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management have the chance to spend a year in Switzerland and obtain a bachelor\u2019s degree from either the Glion Institute of Higher Education or Les Roches Global Hospitality Education, in addition to a bachelor\u2019s degree from IFTM. Alternatively, students can choose to undertake their one-year studies abroad at either the Glion Institute\u2019s London campus, in the United Kingdom, or at the Les Roches\u2019 Marbella campus, in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the briefing, UTM alumna Ms. Katie To Man Hei talked about her experience as one of the students participating in the 3+1 Dual Bachelor\u2019s Degree Programme, namely at Les Roches. Ms. To said she believed that participating in the programme not only provided undergraduates with diversity in terms of their educational experience, but also offered them opportunities to explore different cultures and cuisines, make new friends, and become more independent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, it offered students the opportunity to visit various hotels, resorts, golf courses, and other attractions in Europe, as well as engage in a rich variety of social activities, Ms. To said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Undergraduates present at the briefing gained detailed information about the 3+1 Dual Bachelor\u2019s Degree Programme.
