The 2019 edition of the famed dining listings, launched on 11 December, again recommends the IFT establishment.<\/p>\n<p>The Educational Restaurant is among just 9 Macao eateries accorded Bib Gourmand status in the 2019 version. The guide\u2019s inspectors give the Bib Gourmand tag in Macao to establishments that offer a high-quality 3-course meal for MOP400 or under.<\/p>\n<p>The IFT Educational Restaurant has been annually recommended by the Michelin Guide since the first edition for Macao was published in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>Michelin Guides are among the most influential publications in the world of hospitality. The original Michelin Guide, covering France, was first published in 1900. There are now a number of versions of the guide, covering different regions of the world.<\/p>\n<p>The IFT Educational Restaurant is recommended in several hospitality guides, including the Ctrip Gourmet List 2018, produced by Ctrip, a leading Chinese provider of travel services. IFT\u2019s establishment also holds a \u201cCertificate of Excellence Award\u201d from the popular international travel website TripAdvisor.<\/p>\n<p>The IFT Educational Restaurant \u2013 at the Mong-H\u00e1 Campus \u2013 provides an opportunity for students to gain in-depth, practical experience of the restaurant business, while being coached and supervised by experienced instructors. The setup allows students to interact with paying guests in a real-life setting.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant\u2019s menu offers a selection of Macanese and Portuguese-style dishes, made with a modern touch. The restaurant supports organic farming and the Slow Food movement. Herbs used in its dishes are grown in a herb garden on the Mong-H\u00e1 Campus.<\/p>\n<p>From time to time the establishment puts on special events that promote food and cuisine to be found in different parts of the world.
