That is according to the Institute\u2019s latest online graduate employment survey.<\/p>\n<p>Of those people, 83.3 percent were in full-time work with a salary that fell within a monthly median of MOP16,100.<\/p>\n<p>For IFTM diploma programme graduates, those responding recorded in total an employment rate of approximately 70 percent, with 91.7 percent of that cohort working full time in Macao on a salary that fell within a monthly median of MOP20,500.<\/p>\n<p>All the figures are according to IFTM\u2019s 2018\/2019 Degree and Diploma Programme Graduates\u2019 Career Placement Survey. IFTM launched the online employment survey questionnaire for 2018\/2019 graduates in November last year.<\/p>\n<p>For bachelor graduates, the overall response rate was 74 percent, with 92.8 percent of those reporting employment being engaged in the Macao labour market.<\/p>\n<p>Of the employed IFTM bachelor programme people, 75.8 percent were in tourism and hospitality; a further 17.4 percent were in other services; 3.4 percent were in government work; 2.0 percent were in education; and 1.3 percent were engaged by \u201cassociations\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 10.5 percent of the bachelor programme graduates responding said they were continuing studies, either for a master\u2019s degree or on a professional certificate programme.<\/p>\n<p>The diploma programme graduate responses showed that 45.8 percent of those in employment were working in tourism and hospitality; 20.8 percent were in the government sector; 16.7 percent were in education; 12.5 percent were in other types of services; and 4.2 percent were in occupations classified under the heading \u201cothers\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A total of 76.2 percent of IFTM bachelor programme students graduating in academic year 2018\/2019 had gained employment within 6 months of completing their studies.
