Eduroam

Eduroam stands for Education Roaming. It is a location independent WiFi network that allows staff and students of any member institution, say the UTM, to log on the WLAN of other member institutions in the world when they are there, using the same credentials (username and password) of their home institution, that is, using the UTM's Network Account Username (xxxx@utm.edu.mo) and Password. To break the regional boundary of the WLAN service, UTM has joined the Eduroam in 2015. In consequence, Staff and students can enjoy free-of-charge Internet access at any Eduroam-enabled institutions all over the world. Reminder: UTM students and staff cannot use Eduroam in UTM campus.

UTM_WIFI (WEB)

This SSID provides an extremely easy connectivity; it is suitable for all portable devices which are weak compatible (such as old model mobile phone or PDA etc), use for short period of time. And it only provides secure authentication not the data encryption, so please DO NOT transmit any private or confidential data using this network.

Campus Card

Abstract

In order to promote a smart campus and provide convenient campus life for students and staff, Macao University of Tourism (UTM) has developed a campus smart card for each student and staff. In addition to automated attendance checking (for staff), campus smart cards have been added to a variety of extended applications, such as electronic access control and library cards, allowing students and staff to carry only one campus smart card to access the campus and complete various tasks.

What is UTM Campus Card?

UTM Campus Card is a multi-purpose smart card. It is issued to all members of UTM, including academic, administrative staff and all full-time students. Students and staff are advised to properly preserved the UTM Campus Card. If it is damaged or lost, students and staff should pay the required fee before being issued with a replacement card (Each card costs MOP$100).

The UTM Campus Card serves as:

• A traditional staff / student identity card
• A library card
• An access control card to various facilities in the Institute, including computer rooms, car parks and offices, etc.
• A punch card for attendance management
