Dr. Julie Whitfield from Bournemouth University in the United Kingdom and Professor Brendon Knott from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in South Africa were invited as guest speakers for the newly-launched MSc International Events Management core course ‘Design and Development of Professional Live Events’. The special guests shared their wealth of experiences in organising conferences and offered some insights related to event space, highlighting the notions of inclusivity, accessibility and sustainability, as well as the need to be creative and thinking outside the box.
