Director of Entertainment Department at City of Dreams Shares Marketing Strategies with UTM Students

Macao University of Tourism (UTM) invited Ms. Xana Lei, Director of Studio City Entertainment, to share her industry experience with students and introduce marketing strategies related to club management. The seminar was held in September and was organized by the subject lecturer, Alison Lau. It aimed to provide practical knowledge beyond textbooks for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management (Chinese medium).

Ms. Lei shared her valuable experiences in managing the kid’s indoor playground “Kid’s City” and the large-scale stage performance “The House of Dancing Water.” She noted that “Kid’s City” is the only children’s entertainment club in Macao with a national certification for its babysitting team, emphasizing the importance of creating a safe environment. The class engaged in in-depth discussions about essential safety facilities, staff training, and regular maintenance to ensure a safe and clean play environment for children and their families. Additionally, Ms. Lei highlighted the importance of marketing strategies, helping students understand the significance of managing online presence, including creating an attractive website and maintaining.

Furthermore, Ms. Lei discussed the utilization of the venue for "The House of Dancing Water." She pointed out that performances has been suspended during the pandemic. To revitalize the space and make full use of resources, she proposed plans for using the venue for diving lessons and training. She also explored how to launch new activities and effective marketing strategies, such as promoting new events through social media to attract more residents and tourists.

Ms. Lei's insights deepened the students' understanding of club management and highlighted its potential to maintain creativity in and connections within the community. The students expressed that they greatly benefited from her sharing.
