On September 20, Master of Wine Debra Meiburg hosted a workshop for Macao University of Tourism (UTM) students with a special focus on Prosecco sparkling wines from Italy. Debra Meiburg MW is an award-winning author, journalist, TV personality, international speaker, and is widely considered the global authority on the Asian wine market. She is founding director MWM Wine School, by Debra Meiburg MW; Meiburg Wine Media, Asia’s leading wine marketing and events agency, and the Cathay Hong Kong International Wine and Spirit Competition. She is also the wine consultant for Cathay Pacific Airlines and former Chair of Education for the Institute of Masters of Wine.
The workshop was coordinated by the Wine Appreciation Club, an affiliate of the UTM Student Union. Debra Meiburg MW showcased 7 Prosecco sparkling wines to over a dozen students whom were truly grateful for this rare opportunity to learn directly from a world-renowned Master of Wine on Prosecco knowledge as well as professional wine tasting and service techniques.
