Mr. Jean-Baptiste Cherriere, Vice President of Sales for the Asia-Pacific region at Riedel, a world-renowned wine glass manufacturer, visited UTM on June 16 to share his expertise on professional wine glasses and provide wine tasting guidance to over 20 students and faculty members of Faculty of Innovative Hospitality Management (FIHM). Founded in Austria in 1756, Riedel is globally celebrated for its high-quality glassware and decanters, used by top restaurants worldwide for professional wine service. This workshop, organized by Lecturer Oscar Man Cheng Ho from FIHM, allowed participants to explore how different styles of Riedel wine glasses pair with various types of wines, gaining valuable insights into how glassware design influences the tasting experience — an exceptional learning opportunity.
