Mr. Oscar Man Cheng Ho, Lecturer at the School of Innovation and Hospitality Management, recently represented Macao University of Tourism in the wine judging panel for the “G100 x 2nd C-PLPEX – Most Promising Portuguese-Speaking Countries Wines and Spirits Award” selection event, held in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. He joined professional judges from the wine, catering, education, and media industries across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to evaluate wine products from Portuguese-speaking countries.
Organized by the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, the 2nd China–Portuguese-Speaking Countries Economic and Trade Expo (Macao) (2nd C-PLPEX) will be held from October 22 to 25, 2025 at The Venetian Macao's Cotai Expo. This expo is one of the initiatives proposed during the 2022 Ministerial Special Conference of the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, aiming to strengthen economic and trade exchanges between China and Portuguese-speaking nations, and to reinforce Macao’s role as a platform connecting the two. The exhibition will mainly showcase the distinctive industries, products, and services of China and the nine Portuguese-speaking countries. During the expo, awards will be presented to the winning wines from the “G100 x 2nd C-PLPEX – Most Promising Portuguese-Speaking Countries Wines and Spirits Award”. A wine tasting and display area will also be set up to promote wines and cultures from Portuguese-speaking countries to professional buyers and attendees from around the world.
