In November 2025, a guest lecture sharing was held in the class of Finance and Accounting for the UTM students in the master’s programs.
Mr. Oscar Lam, Partner of ShineWing (Macau) CPA and Vice President of the Union of Associations of Professional Accountants of Macau, was invited to our classroom as our featured guest in this special lecture titled “Ask Me Anything” on Finance & Accounting, moderated by the class lecturer Ms. Sandy Sio.
The guest lecture session was conducted in the format of a fireside chat. The class lecturer guided the students to pose questions about their concerned issues on finance and accounting, including hotel and tourism related contexts and other wider scope of topics, to let students learn from the expert's insights and their own thought process in addressing the course topics. From Mr. Lam’s angle as an accounting and auditing professional, combining his previous work experience as a finance department executive in a large-scale integrated resort, the guest lecture had a fruitful discussion on hot topics ranging from financial performance analysis, revenue optimization and cost control strategies, audit and compliance issues, integration of sustainability reporting into financial accounting, as well as the prospects of accounting expertise in effective hospitality management.
