UTM International Business and Innovation Communication Year 1 students visited the Teledifusão de Macau

On 14 October, 40 Year 1 students from the Bachelor of Science in International Business and Innovation Communication at the Macao University of Tourism visited the Teledifusão de Macau (TDM) for an on-site tour. This visit was closely aligned with the course "Global Media and Communication" the students are currently taking.

The students gained insight into the internal operations of the organisation and had the opportunity to experience the television production process. They also learned how to access media information from Portuguese-speaking countries through Macao's broadcasting platform. TDM's professional journalist, Mr. Sam Heng Chao, provided guidance on-site, shared his years of experience in the media industry and encouraged students to ask questions.

After the visit, students expressed high praise for the experience. One student remarked, "Seeing the behind-the-scenes work was a fantastic experience." Another noted, "I have a deeper understanding of media operations and feel the atmosphere of the organisation." With the support of TDM, this on-site visit successfully enhanced students' understanding of the Macao media system, allowed for interaction with professionals, and explored future employment opportunities.
