Final-year students from the Macao University of Tourism's Tourism Business Management (旅遊企業管理理學士學位) and Hotel Management programmes (酒店管理理學士學位) have successfully completed an industry collaboration project with technology innovator Cave Giant, demonstrating the practical application of their entrepreneurial skills.
The project, designed and led by Dr. Fernando Lourenco (羅導謙博士), challenged students to develop viable business applications for Cave Giant's advanced 3D scanning, AI data processing and digital imaging technologies within the tourism, hospitality and education sectors.
Cave Giant founders and co-founders Zhuang Li and Yuxuan Wen, praised the students' output: "We were thoroughly impressed by the creativity and commercial viability of the proposals. The students demonstrated a sophisticated understanding of how our technology can solve real business challenges across multiple industries. Their fresh perspectives have given us valuable insights for future development."
Throughout the project, students conducted comprehensive market research, analysed competitor offerings, and developed innovative business models specifically tailored to expand Cave Giant's market reach. Their proposals targeted diverse client segments including tourists, corporate clients, government agencies and educational institutions.
"This industry collaboration perfectly illustrates our commitment to providing students with hands-on, real-world learning experiences," said Dr. Lourenco. "The quality of work produced demonstrates how effectively our students can apply academic theory to create practical business solutions with commercial potential." The Macao University of Tourism continues to strengthen its industry partnerships to ensure students gain relevant, practical experience.
