A group of 23 executives from AnYang Tourism Board, Henan Province came to IFT from 31 August to 3 September, to receive an intensive tourism training to learn the successful experience of Macao. The certificate presentation was held on 3 September.
This intensive training covers a wide range of topics, including the origins and causes of world heritage, convention & exhibition and the economy, tourist management, the effect of tourism industry to the entire economic development and case studies of cultural heritage sites. IFT also arranged visits to Grand Lisboa Hotel and Wynn Macau Hotel, in order to give the group better understanding of the operation of large hotel complex in Macao.
Mr. Zhang Jianguo, The Director of AnYang Tourism Board was pleased to bring the officials in the area of tourism from AhYang City and nearby regions to Macao for this study trip. He said that Macao’s tourism has developed rapidly in these few years and expected to learn from the successful experience of Macao and effectively promote the tourism of AnYang.
In the past, IFT has offered tourism training programmes to the tourism boards and industry officials of ShanSi, HeBei and Inner Mogolia. IFT hopes to deliver the successful experience of Macao and the expertise in tourism related areas, to contribute to the development of tourism industry of the mainland. IFT also offered similar tourism training to the Portuguese speaking countries study group twice, being the portal of enhancing the cooperation of tourism industry between Macao and Portuguese speaking countries, as well as the mainland and Portuguese speaking countries. IFT expects to organise more training programmes in the future, to exchange our experience with tourism organizations from the mainland and overseas, in order to nurture more professionals and enhance the tourism development of both parties.
