With the opening of the new gigantic convention and exhibition facilities, Macao’s MICE industry has a gorgeous bloom as large-scale conferences and exhibitions were recently held in Macao. For this reason, IFT organised the MICE Best Practices Forum on 19 September and attracted over 60 participants from the MICE industry.
IFT has the honour of inviting some prestigious speakers: Ms. Elizabeth Chu Wing Teng, Director of Macau Fair & Trade Association, Mr. Burns Yeung, Vice President of Board of Directors of Macao Convention & Exhibition Association, Mr. Paul Woodword, Regional Manager – Asia/Pacific of UFI – the Global Assocation of the Exhibiton Industry, and Mr. Robert Rogers, President and Founding Member of International Special Events Society (ISES) – Hong Kong Chapter. Lecturer of IFT, Ms. Clara Lei, is the moderator of the forum.
To meet the high demand of professionals in the MICE industry of Macao, IFT offers Bachelor degree programme on Tourism Event Management since 2005. In addition, diploma programme and other short courses are offered to provide professional training to the MICE industry. Through this forum, IFT expects to liaise the local and international experts in the MICE industry so as to enhance its development in Macao.
IFT always advance the research level as to contribute to the industry and the society. By organising various seminars and workshops, IFT is devoted to constantly share with the industry the most updated information and research findings, in order to foresee the future of Macao’s tourism industry.
