Reviewing Story Recalling Memory Cultural Heritage Interpretation Talk organised by IFT Heritage Management Year 2 Students

The second year students majoring in cultural heritage management of the Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT) are going to organize an interpretation talk regarding the cultural heritages in Macau on 19 May (Monday) at 10:00am to 12:30pm in the Grand Hall of IFT. The slogan for this particular talk is “Reviewing stories, Recalling memories” and the activity is divided into primary and secondary student sections.

        The student will talk about Macao cultural heritage and related topics such as Macao people’s livelihood and their customs, vicissitudes of the old villages, the handicraft industry development and the anecdote of Macao celebrities and so on, via dramas, music, and short films. Through these fun and vivid interpretation, we hope to deepen the knowledge and understanding of Macao cultural heritage and Macao history of the elementary and secondary students.

        This seminar is organized by the second year students majoring in cultural heritage management of the Institute for Tourism Studies (IFT). During a constructive discussion among the students, contents are being finalized and are presented in the best way in the seminar by them. Rich contents are supported by unbiased data collections in forms of primary data collection and secondary data collection (survey/interview). They are excited to have the opportunity in sharing the concepts knowledge learnt during class time with the audience.

        IFT established the bachelor degree program of heritage management in the year of 2005/2006. Throughout this program, it fosters heritage professionals for the sustainable future development of the Macau tourism industry.
