Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM) and Macau Culinary Association (MCA) co-organised the 11th Macanese Cooking Competition and the 8th Young Macanese Cooking Competition for university students on 27 November 2020 at IFTM.

The Young Macanese Cooking Competition has been an additional university tournament for eight consecutive years to promote the local traditional Macanese Cuisine culture and history to university students and the general public. The event allows culinary exchange between university students in Macao, thus enabling a closer tie among local higher education institutions.

Mr. Matthew Helm, President of Macau Culinary Association, is the Chairman of Judges. The panel of judges for the Young Macanese Cooking Competition is formed by Mr. Raimund Pichmaier, the Founder and Former President of MCA; Mr. Victor Lo, Treasurer and Committee member of MCA, and Mr. Yves Duron, Honorary Member of MCA and Executive Chef of F&B.

The Profession Macanese Cooking Competition is judged by Mr. Lei Ho Meng, Former Vice President of MCA; Mr. Yves Duron, Honorary Member of MCA and Executive Chef of F&B; Mr. Fausto Airoldi, Committee Member of MCA, Executive Chef, and an honorary member of WACS & SACA; and Ms. Florita Alves, Vice President of MCA, Chef of LA Flaminga and Preside of Tax of Council Gastronomia Macanese.  Together they chose the best out of the best. The award ceremony was held on the same day after the cooking competition, and the judges presented the prizes to the winners.
