A delegation from Brazil led by the country’s Minister of Tourism, Mr. Celso Sabino, attended the IFTM Mong-Há Campus on September 21 for a guided visit. The group went to the Educational Hotel Pousada de Mong-Há, the Educational Restaurant, and several other training facilities.

The Brazil delegation also met with IFTM President Dr. Fanny Vong Chuk Kwan and other representatives from the Institute.

The visitors had the opportunity to learn more about IFTM’s work. According to a press release from the Government of Brazil, Minister Sabino discussed with the IFTM representatives the establishment of exchange programmes for students and tourism industry professionals. “A partnership with IFTM would be very diversified”, leveraging on the Institute’s assets and wealth of experience in tourism education and training, the official was quoted as saying.

While in Macao, Minister Sabino also attended the 10th edition of the Global Tourism Economy Forum (GTEF). The event promotes the global sustainable development of the tourism industry, and is organised by the Macao Special Administrative Region Government in collaboration with the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
