Educational Restaurant to reopen on 1 June

The IFTM Educational Restaurant, located at the Institute’s Mong-Há Campus, is reopening on 1 June, and will be introducing a new menu to mark the reopening.

Operations at the Educational Restaurant were temporarily suspended for 3 months as part of preventive measures to limit the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in Macao.

The quality of food and service at the IFTM Educational Restaurant is recognised by the prestigious Michelin Guide. The outlet is one of a handful of Macao eateries accorded Bib Gourmand status. The guide’s inspectors give the Bib Gourmand tag in Macao to establishments that offer a high-quality 3-course meal for MOP400 or below.

The Educational Restaurant will be reducing the seating capacity of the dining room to a maximum of 34 guests, to ensure compliance with good social-distancing practices to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Guests can be assured that when visiting the restaurant, all anti-pandemic measures introduced by the local authorities will be strictly followed.

To ensure a safe environment for both guests and staff, all patrons must complete a personal health declaration through the Macao Health Code system before entering the restaurant. Guests and staff will be required to wear protective face masks, the only exception being for guests while enjoying their meal and beverages. Each guest place and special laminated menu will be sanitised after every individual use.

The new menu available at the Educational Restaurant on its reopening will at lunchtime offer a set lunch menu and ‘a la carte’ Macanese and Portuguese options; and for dinner, a 3 or 5-course tasting menu.

The restaurant’s signature Macanese buffet on Fridays will not be immediately available at the time of reopening, in compliance with anti-pandemic measures related to avoidance of crowd gatherings.

Regardless of the special measures, the Educational Restaurant is excited to resume operations and is looking forward to welcome patrons and offer them an enjoyable experience.
