UTM and the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE) join forces to offerDual Master's Programme

UTM has signed a cooperation agreement with the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE), in offering a dual master's programme. Through the joint programme, eligible students from UTM are given the opportunity to transfer some credits and complete ISCTE MSc in Hospitality and Tourism Management while simultaneously completing UTM master's degree, in 2.5 years.

Students under this dual programme will enjoy academic and teaching excellence in tourism and hotel management provided by two internationally accredited universities in Macao and in Lisbon, both joining forces with an aim to foster management talents in the tourism industry.

“Dual Degree” is available for UTM master's students enrolled in the following programmes:

  1. Master of Science in International Tourism Management (MSc in ITM)
  2. Master of Science in Innovative Hospitality Management (MSc in IHM)

Eligibility

To be eligible for applying for the dual master's programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:


Pathways of Study for UTM Student

  1. MSc in International Tourism Management at UTM + MSc in Hospitality and Tourism Management at ISCTE
  2. MSc in Innovative Hospitality Management at UTM + MSc in Hospitality and Tourism Management at ISCTE

Tuition Fee for UTM students*

UTM

  1. UTM normally charges UTM students two semester tuition fees during the normal study duration, extension fee for 1 semester and tuition fee for 6 credits, on condition that they can fulfill graduation requirement. For additional information about UTM tuition fee policy, please visit: https://www.utm.edu.mo/admission/en/postgraduate_programmes/fees/index.html
  2. Students should not have any outstanding fees with UTM before going to Portugal.
  3. The tuition fees paid will not be refunded.

ISCTE

  1. ISCTE charges international students for the credits they are studying at ISCTE. This program per se, UTM students would pay to ISCTE in the amount of EURO6,300. For additional information about ISCTE tuition fee

  2. Students are required to settle the tuition fee in full payment.
  3. Tuition fee refund policy depends on ISCTE.

Degree Certificates

UTM

Upon the fulfilment of the graduation requirements of the master's programme enrolled at UTM, students will be awarded the corresponding master's degree (MSc in ITM or MSc in IHM).

ISCTE

Upon the fulfilment of the graduation requirements, students will be awarded ISCTE's Master of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management (MSc in HTM).
