How and When to Apply

Students must carefully read through and understand all the following information about UTM Student Hostel before filling in the online Accommodation Request Form.


Notes for new students:

 Students must submit the online application form within 5 days from the date of tuition payment, and deemed confirmed only when hostel fee is settled within the payment deadline.  Late applications or payment will be placed on waiting list, and dormitory arrangements cannot be guaranteed in such cases;

 Room types available to all freshmen are mainly triple rooms and quad rooms. Students can specify in the remark column of the application form if interested in applying for other room types.  Room type allocation is subject to availability and is not guaranteed;

•  Due to limited availability, year 1 undergraduate students are first considered each year; therefore, renewal of tenancy in the following years cannot be guaranteed;

 Postgraduate applications will be put on waitlist, results will be announced via email by early August (1st semester) or late December (2nd semester).  


Notes for current hostel students:

• Students should submit the online application form within the re-application period and check e-mail regularly for hostel fee payment notification. Hostel allocation is deemed confirmed only when fee is settled within the payment deadline.  Room availability is limited and provided on a first-come-first-served basis;

• Due to limited availability, year 1 undergraduate students are first considered each year; therefore, renewal of tenancy in the following years cannot be guaranteed.

Note:

  • Re-application for hostel accommodation is necessary every semester.
  • Random room and roommate allocation will be arranged. 
  • UTM reserves the right of final decision.
  • Students who are not allocated hostel places need to arrange off-campus accommodation by themselves. There are many choices of real estate in Macau. Students who need to rent an apartment are advised to choose a legitimate real estate agent or real estate agency to avoid unnecessary losses. Students could refer to Tenancy Law information provided by the Macau Legal Affairs Bureau.
